Designed specifically for the Hobonichi Techo, these Moomin-themed pencil boards provide a smooth writing surface that prevents pens from slipping or pressing marks into underlying pages. Featuring artwork based on Tove Jansson's classic novels, each board includes a "Today" index tab at the corner to act as a bookmark and 1 mm ruler increments printed along the long edge.
The A6 size “Sunny Day” was inspired by a charming window scene Miyakoshi glimpsed while traveling through the Cotswolds in England, which she then let her imagination expand upon. The reverse side is yellow, evoking the warmth and brightness of sunlight.
The A5 size “In the Air” reflects Miyakoshi’s own love for travel, designed to capture “the feeling of wanting to fly away somewhere.” The reverse side is navy, carrying a quiet sense of night.
The Weeks size “Lazy Morning” was inspired by a photograph of French actress Charlotte Gainsbourg. Miyakoshi says she “wanted to capture the fresh light of morning.” The reverse side is light blue, evoking the crisp morning air and the scent of clean sheets.
