Follow this simple five-step process:
- rinse with water using the dropper
- prepare a diluted solution (8 ml liquid in 100 ml water)
- soak the nib unit for 8–10 hours
- rinse thoroughly with fresh water
- dry before refilling.

Note: Do not use the cleaning solution with Urushi lacquered pens, Pilot Custom 823, Heritage 92, or Justus 95 models.
