THE NIHON EXPRESS A limited edition of 200 individually numbered pens, each number engraved on the cap ring. Inspired by Japan's historic Tōkaidō—the route connecting Edo and Kyoto through fifty-three stations.

For centuries, travellers journeyed through shifting landscapes and quiet moments of reflection. In the nineteenth century, artist Utagawa Hiroshige immortalised these scenes: rain over villages, silhouettes on bridges, Mount Fuji in silence. This pen honours that legacy.

The journey continues—the distance unchanged, only its rhythm evolved. 14K gold nib with rhodium plating, medium grade. PMMA resin grip, cap, and barrel with nickel chrome metal parts. Includes converter for bottled ink or use with Sailor cartridges. Made in Japan by Sailor, established 1911. A writing instrument for those who value heritage and craftsmanship.

 

It takes either Sailor cartridges available here, or can use bottled ink with the included converter
