The Blackwing 574 honors Native American art and the 574 nations that use it for cultural identity. In collaboration with artist Chris Pappan of the Kaw, Osage, and Lakota tribes, the pencil features geometric patterns found in their cultural expressions. Each pencil contains firm graphite and a portion of sales will support the Cheyenne River Youth Project.
Native American art has preserved their histories through functional and beautiful works, providing a unique perspective on their culture and history. This release will donate proceeds to the Cheyenne River Youth Project, enriching the lives of Lakota youth on the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe Reservation.
