Hello, seasoned Hobonichi Users! Welcome back to another whirlwind of preparations as Launch Day (1st September) draws closer – it’s nearly better than Christmas!
We know plenty of you already know the low-down on the Techo formats and have your ideal set-up in mind ahead of the big day – here’s everything you need to know below!
FAQs
From the 1st September. The products will be available for purchase from 3:00am (11:00am Japanese time).
You can also pop in and see us in store to see the products on the day (if you want to make sure you’ve secured your items, you can order online for collection in store!)
Unfortunately we cannot take pre-orders for any Hobonichi 2027 products.
We will have pretty much everything from the 2027 range (including the Moomins for you Moomin lovers out there!).
Hobonichi are releasing sneak peeks into their beautiful collabs for the year every day in the run up to Launch Day!

Typically we ship our orders within 24-48 hours; but with Hobonichi, we see a HUGE influx! It might take us a little longer than usual to get your order processed, but the team will be working hard to get it on its way to you.
If you’re looking to get your hands on the goods quickly, we recommend selecting 24 hour or Next Day Delivery as we will prioritise these orders in our packing schedule.

Don’t panic! There is a restock for the 2027 Hobonichi range in October and December, so there’s still the chance to get the item you want if we’ve sold out.
NOTE: The One Piece range will be available in the October launch.
2027 Range Sneak Peeks
Day 1: Colours
The simple and colourful Colors series is Hobonichi signature series. The 2027 range has some STUNNING new colour combinations!
Three new colours have been introduced for both the A6 Original (Blue Parasol, Fresh Citrus and Bordeaux Terracotte) and A5 Cousin (Chiffon Greige, Mango Latte, and Misty Cedar) sizes. And five new colours have been introduced for the Hobonichi Weeks (Sapphire Pink, Caneria Yellow, Poppy Red, Sea Glass, and Midnight Blue)!
Day 2: Moomin
For the Moomin collection, Hobonichi have introduced two new Weeks designs, an A6 and A5 cover, drawer pouches and some accessories!
NOTE: The Moomin Weeks interor is exclusive to the Japanese language version.
Day 3: Akiko Miyakoshi
Picture book artist Akiko Miyakoshi collaborated with Hobonichi to create Unforgettable Moments! Featuring A6 and A5 covers, a new Weeks cover, plus pencil boards and a notebook, Miyakoshi’s line is hauntingly pretty.
Day 4: beautiful people
In collaboration with fashion brand beautiful people, Hobonichi is back again with a gorgeous selection of transparent covers for the A6, A5 and the Weeks! Made from PVC material with a crocodile pattern embossed onto the surface, these covers are a stylish and funky way to protect your Techos!
Day 5: Puppet SunSun
Featuring both A6 and A5 covers, and a fun Weeks cover; this lineup is sure to bring a smile to your face every time you pick up your techo. Beyond the Techos, there’s a fun selection of matching stationery.
Day 6: Yoshi Watanabe
Featuring exquisite textures and colour palettes unique to art director Watanabe, this lineup is designed to add an elegant touch of colour to your everyday life. Including A6 and A5 covers, a Weeks, and accessories!
Day 7: Natal Design
Hobonichi has teamed up with Natal Design, a pioneer in outdoor fashion to bring you a variety of vintage/outdoor themed covers!
Day 8: Yumi Kitagishi
Yumi Kitagishi is BACK for the fourth time with an equally adorable range featuring her iconic White Cat and other furry friends. Including new fabric covers, HON covers and accessories, this one is certain to be a hit this year!
Day 9: Tanakadaisude
A new range for 2027 made in collaboration with Tanakadaisude screams elegance and romance. Featuring an A6 and A5 Techo cover made with velvet and white lace and a Weeks cover with a stunning print of an embroidered moon. Definitely a range for those with an eye for the finer things.
Day 10: Collect & Collage
A lovely little collection of stationery designed to help you gather and preserve your everyday memories. Use them to preserve your paper keepsakes, from photos, tickets, receipts, and more!
Day:11 Slim Covers
A selection of sleek covers available in A6 and A5 sizes. Thin, light, and easy to hold, this design is for those who love a slim-line and minimalist look.
Day 12: Alettone & Tragen
For 2027, Hobonichi is releasing a new twist on a firm favourite! These covers are designed to allow you to carry everything you need for your Techo in one place; with both designs offering plenty of storage. Available in A6, A5, and Weeks sizes.
Day 13: V & A Collection
Inspired by the Victoria & Albert Museum in London and their unparalleled collections of art, design, fashion history, theatre and performance, and more, Hobonichi have curated this range as a homage to the museum's objects, including designs by William Morris. This range includes a variety of covers and stationery accessories.
Day 14: Leo Linonni
A Japanese and US exclusive, meet Leo Linonni's "Frederick" in a new Techo Cover and Hobonichi Weeks; featuring the adorable Frederick the Rat from Linonni's beloved classic picture book.
Day 15: Mina Perhonnen
Another returning collaboration between Hobonichi and Mina Perhonnen, the 2027 range presents some gorgeous new covers for the A6 Original, A5 Cousin, and the Weeks in two key designs.
Day 16: TSUKI no IRO
Back again in force, the TSUKI no IRO range brings us a variety of complementary stationery in the 12 key colours of the techo; from transparent dot and index stickers to ink sets and matching pens - this year, there's loads to choose from!
Day 17: Hiroko Kubota
Returning again in 2027, Hiroko Kubota brings us a mysterious feline cover to the HON and the Weeks, and a special deco rush too.
2027 Tomoe River Paper Test
As soon as we got our stock into the shop we tested a range of inks and fountain pens on the paper to check for bleed through, feathering and how the paper handles the ink and we were really pleased with the results!
