This postcard set features drawings by printmaker and artist Makoto Matsubayashi, who is based in Kochi Prefecture.
The set includes four types of cards.
Three are standard postcard size, featuring:
- a dark blue background with white flowers and light blue free-flowing lines by Matsubayashi
- a silver background scattered with white flowers, and
- a black background with dots and tiny flowers.
- The fourth is a die-cut card shaped like a pink flower.
All of the designs were created specifically for the Hobonichi Techo 2026. The cards are printed on matte paper with a softly textured finish.
The warmth and cheerfulness of Matsubayashi’s floral artwork makes these cards perfect for including with gifts or celebratory messages. They come in a translucent glassine envelope, making the set itself a lovely gift as well.
