Blackwing Volume 143 is a tribute to Frida Kahlo. Each pencil carries a floral design inspired by the imagery she returned to throughout her work, and the number 143 is a nod to the paintings commonly attributed to her. 

This pencil is Blackwing's soft graphite, which lays down a dark, smooth line with very little pressure, so it suits sketching as well as writing. Like every Blackwing, it has the flat ferrule and a replaceable eraser.
