The Gansai Tambi watercolour set from Kuretake features 12 high-quality Japanese paints that have been handmade and behave similarly to gouache. When applied thickly, they offer a gentle sheen instead of the usual matte finish of watercolours. These paints are compatible with waterbrushes and can be used directly from the pans when wet. For intense and vibrant colors, apply thick layers, even on dark paper or card. For a more translucent but still vivid effect, apply thin layers.
The large 48mm x 28mm pan makes it easy to use larger, thick brushes and color large surface areas .
